Worship at Mt. Airy is offered once a week: Sunday at 11:00am. Our Sunday worship is conducted in a style that reflects our
cross-cultural identity: focused on God, but always uplifting. We welcome members who are interested in participating in worship by singing on the choir or
becoming a lay liturgist to assist in worship. We provide audio for past sermons online here.
What should one expect during worship?
While we have a traditional worship style, our worship reflects the beauty and diversity of this church. From hymns, liturgy, creeds, and songs of praise, we aim to lift high the name of Jesus Christ. If you like to dress up for church, that’s fine. If you are more of a business casual person, that’s fine, too. We just ask you come with a heart that is open to worship the Lord.
What is the purpose of worship?
The people of God are commanded to worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth. We come to bring honor and glory to God through the Word of God preached, sung, spoken, and prayed. We participate in the Sacraments of Communion and Baptism to proclaim Christ and to embrace those into the community of faith.
